MULTAN: The Board of Governors (BoG) of Bakhtawar Amin Medical and Dental College (BAMDC), Multan has expressed serious concern over the publication of a news item regarding lavish luncheon in honour of President Mamoon Hussain and his colleagues during their visit to Multan.
The spokesperson of BAMDC said that “negative impression” has been developed by electronic and print media on the occasion of inauguration of project designed for the welfare of residents of southern Punjab, and categorically rejected that there was no reality in the claim of presenting of almost 22 dishes of mouth-watering food.
“The inaugural ceremony was unique example of simplicity following the directions of President Mamoon Hussain and the same food was served to the president and his delegation members with other participants of the ceremony.” The luncheon comprises of four dishes, the spokesperson added.
He said that Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital has been providing medical facilities to poor and needy patients hailing from Multan and its suburbs areas since 1999.
The spokesperson said that this hospital is a ray of hope for those patients who cannot bear the heavy expenditure on the treatment of dangerous diseases.
He said the negative propaganda against welfare and organisational institute was an attempt to “defame” the noble cause.
The management of the trust has appealed the print and electronic media to publish the news after professional investigation.
