KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s orders, Sindh police Inspector General (IG) issued directives to DIG headquarters to launch ‘helmet awareness campaign’ for motorcycle riders at provincial level.
According to spokesman of Sindh police, in this regard, IG directed to launch a month-long awareness campaign about the importance of wearing helmet among riders with the cooperation of all stakeholders. A D Khowaja said riders are most vulnerable to head injuries and wearing helmets reduces the risk of these fatal injuries.
He directed to take strict action against the bikers who do not wear helmets or found indulged in one-wheeling, rash and dangerous driving. He also directed the officers to submit their reports on daily basis.
