PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested a private person for allegedly allotting the land illegally.
Muhammad Aslam, was allegedly involved in illegal allotment of 1 kanal and 10 marla commercial plot on Ashraf Road Peshawar which caused millions of rupees loss to the kitty, said a press release issued on Friday.
The investigation revealed that commercial plot situated on Ashraf Road Peshawar was the property of Municipal Corporation Peshawar since 1885 and was collecting rent since 1962. Muhammad Aslam in connivance with others twisted the facts and with mala fide intention first got registered fake power of attorney from Gujranwala in the year 2004 and created bogus RL-2 by claiming Municipal Committee land through it and finally got transferred the same to his name in 2008.
Meanwhile, the NAB has also arrested Saeed Khan Patwari, Ilayas Patwari, Syed Shakeel Hassan Zadi, Qamar-ud-Din and Tamur Hassan Amin in the case. Moreover, the accused person would be produced before the Accountability Court for obtaining his physical remand.
